Karavans Dance Troupe specializes in dances from the Middle East, North Africa, Persia and Turkey. They perform annually at the Turkish, Arabic and Persian Festivals sponsored by Festal at the Seattle Center, They recently appeared at Seattle University's International Dinner/show and will be guest performers at City Hall to celebrate the Persian New Year in March.Their repertoire ranges from folkloric dances to traditional line dances to specialty solos seldom seen by Western audiences. Their colorful costumes feature reproductions of authentic garments or were purchased in the country of origin.
