Latinos: The Changing Face of Washington
With Enrique Cerna

Latinos: The Changing Face of Washington explores the growing presence and contributions of our state’s largest ethnic group.

Veteran journalist Enrique Cerna, the son of Mexican immigrants, traces his family’s journey to the Yakima Valley in the 1940’s, setting the stage for the migration of other Latino families, and a population that would eventually grow by more than 70 percent from 2000 to 2010.
Today, Latinos make up more than 12 percent of the state’s population. Their numbers and impact are growing here and throughout the nation. As the documentary reveals, there are many working to bring about change in politics, education, immigration and entrepreneurship.
Latinos: The Changing Face of Washington is truly an American story.
